Organization
Akshar Vidyalaya a secondary school, was started on 16 June 1997 to provide good quality education to students in rural areas by establishing the Rashtriya Sanskar Kendra. This government recognized school is running in the village of Hamrapur, 70 km away from Mumbai. Taluka Pen, district Raigad, Maharashtra India. The characteristic of this village is that thousands of idols go here every year for the Ganesha festival. Therefore it is known as the village of idols of Lord Ganesha. Going on...Also Akshar Vidyalaya has a unique identity as an "Eco-Friendly School".
Rashtriya Sanskar Kendra’s Saanchalit founder and president of this organization and Akshar Vidyalaya is Mr.Vijay Patil. He has built the school on his own expenses with all educational facilities. Light water and all things . He has got gov. approval for school. Through this organization the work of environment and education has been going on since 1997. Students from 15 villages in this area are studying. There are tribal and poor students in this school.
Our Activities
Eco-friendly school.
Plantation of trees has started here through the institution since, 2000. This activity has started under the guidance of the Deputy Conservator of forest Mr.Sunil Limaye of Raigad district. Because of him, a beautiful forest has been created here. The school is surrounded with beautiful environment. Therefore, the school is known as an Eco-friendly school. There are many schools in our country. But there are very few organizations and schools that work to spread the message of environment through education, tree plantation, tree conservation. This organization and school is one of them.
The only school in the world to celebrate the birthday of trees
Every year in the month of July trees are planted here and their birthday is celebrated in the second year. The first birthday was celebrated in June 2001, BhujangRao Shinde.(IPS) And sunil Limaye (IFS) was present as a chief guest. They celebrated their first birthday by cutting a cake. This is an innovative initiative that conveys the message. Love trees like your children. Nurture them.
The birthday of trees is celebrated every year in this school. The First innovative initiative not only in the country but also in the world is being implemented at this place for tree conservation and forest conservation. This program has been attended by many dignitaries of the district. They are mainly IAS,IPS,IFS officers.
Just as we prepare for our child’s birthday, teachers and students prepare for the tree’s birthday. The trees are decorated with colourful balloons. Later, after worshiping Lord Ganesha and the tree by the chief guests and cutting the cake in the presence of everyone……Happy Birthday to you tree…Happy Birthday to you tree….the students give blessing to the tree by singing.
Plant lot of tree
Government two crore tree planting scheme was announced. 50 thousand trees have been planted here in July 2016. This scheme in the school was launched by well-known actor Sanjay Narvekar. Many dignitaries such as students, parents, villagers and charitable organizations participated in this event.
Plant as many trees to prevent corona infectious disease
Millions of people have died in the world due to the corona epidemic. Oxygen is needed to overcome this disease. For this we should plant lots of trees. Plant trees, live the trees! Public awareness should be spread by giving such a messages.
Qualified Teachers
In such a scenic school our teachers are working to provide good quality education to the students. The school does not have a grant building. But this magnificence of nature is a delight for the students. None of the students in our school can not afford private tuition. Students study and succeed in exams only on the guidance of teachers. Teachers pay close attention to each student. They study on time. They are in touch with parents. By teaching the students, the academic progress of the students is made. Therefore, the quality of the students and school is good.
Good health of students
The air quality is good as there are thousands of trees of different species in the school premises. So the health of the students is good. Also, due to the beautiful environment one can concentrate well in studies.

This program has been attended by many dignitaries of the district. They are mainly. IAS, IPS ,IFS officers well-known literary Vishwas Patil.. Dnyaneshwar Phadtare.. Rajkumar Vhatkar... Prataparao Dighavkar...R.D.Shinde... Ankush Shinde..Mohammad Suvez Haque.... etc. IPSofficers were present at the tree birthday program. Also senior forest department officials like sub forest conservator Subhash Hivalekar, Anwar Ahmed, Manish Kumar, Ashish Thakery. Along with environment expert Kishore Dharia. This program is celebrated with .joy. This activity promoting tree conservation should be celebrated in all school, colleges and villages.
